Happy Halloween to all!┬á For this day we have a giant pumpkin on top of a silo on a farm in Wisconsin.┬á We donΓÇÖt know much about the farm or the pumpkin itself, but itΓÇÖs big and itΓÇÖs probably visible form I-90!

Distinguished by its impressive double-deck structure, Camp Randall Stadium has been the Badgers’ facility since its opening game on Nov. 3, 1917. It has been host to UW football games, outdoor concerts, Drum Corps International, Green Bay Packer exhibition games, and other large public events.

Besides the field, the historic Camp Randall Stadium complex houses the athletic department offices in Kellner Hall, the Athletic Operations Building, a team training table, lounges, the Fetzer Center study area for student-athletes, as well as film, training and weight rooms and a display of football memorabilia in the new football offices located in the eastside superstructure. New Harley Davidson Museum Aerial and Bird’s Eye View

Today marked the opening of the new Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee Wisconsin. This event has been 105 years in the making! At the museum they have items including the very first Harley Davidson ever built and also Elvis Presley’s Harley Davidson!

As you can see in the map below, the museum was just getting the foundation put in the ground. But in looking at the online map, the 3 buildings being shown would be the Archives on the left, the actual Museum on the right and the Museum Store (just being started) to the south. Until they update the photos, the grounds before construction can be seen in the Bird’s Eye View of the location.

Baseball’s Opening Day is always a day of renewal, a day of expectations. But Opening Day 2001 in Milwaukee was like nothing the city had ever seen.

More than a decade of planning and four and a half years of construction culminated in grand fashion at 7:17 p.m. on April 6, 2001, when Milwaukee Brewers ace Jeff D’Amico fired a strike to Cincinnati Reds shortstop Barry Larkin.

Even in it’s early days the club was open to players of all skill levels. The 1934 club president John Drake was quoted saying “Whether a man shoots 75 or 125 makes no difference. Every one not only is welcome, but has an equal opportunity for enjoyment and sharing in the prize awards. All Club events are designed to care for the high handicap players as well as the better shooters”. That continues today with all club events contested by handicap giving all who participate an equal chance of winning if he has his ‘A’ game on that day. – Official Site
