Following a landmark $25 million challenge grant from UVa alumnus Carl W. Smith in June of 1997, the University of Virginia embarked on an ambitious three-year plan to renovate existing Scott Stadium and increase its capacity to over 60,000. Looks like a Los Angeles Class (I) Improved. The main difference between the first generation Los Angles Class subs and the improved class is that Sail Planes were moved to the bow and VLS Launch tubes were installed.

Anybody know what class this/these are?

At slightly more than half a mile, Martinsville Speedway is the shortest track on the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Circuit, but it’s one of the biggest when it comes to action. It has 800-foot straights, turns banked at only 12 degrees and has been called “two drag strips with a turnaround on each end.” The demanding layout consistently produces some of the wildest fender scrubbing, push and shove racing on the tour.
