Clemson Memorial Stadium has been held in high esteem for many years. Whether it be players from the 1940s and 1950s, opposing players from the 1970s and 1980s, or even professional players in the 1990s, the ambiance of this special setting is what college football is all about.

The storied edifice added to its legend when the first meeting of father and son head coaches (Bowden Bowl I) took place before a sellout crowd of more than 86,000 fans in 1999. Clemson has ranked in the top 20 in the nation in average attendance 22 consecutive seasons. That includes 2001 when Clemson set an ACC record for total attendance. Carowinds is a 112-acre theme park, located adjacent to I-77 on the state line between North and South Carolina, in Charlotte and Fort Mill, respectively. The park opened on March 31, 1973, at a cost of $30 million, after a four-year planning period spearheaded by Charlotte businessman Earl Patterson Hall, who was inspired to build the park by a 1956 trip to Disneyland and a dream of bringing the two states closer together. – Wikipedia

Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina was designed by Pete Dye with the help of Jack Nicklaus.

Harbour Town Golf Links established the permanent site of the rechartering of the oldest golf club in South Carolina and possibly the United States – the South Carolina Golf Club. Notably, 1986 marked the 200th anniversary of golf’s origin for South Carolinians, as the club was formed in 1786 by Scottish merchants.
